HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE RMT EXAM

To obtain the RMT test registration form online, visit:
http://www.aamt.org/scriptcontent/RMTExamApp.cfm

To take the RMT Exam, candidates must first apply to the American Association for Medical Transcription (AAMT), submitting their full name as it appears on the official government-issued photo ID they will use for identification purposes, address, phone number, and email address. An application form will be available on AAMT’s website. The application may be submitted to AAMT via the online link or via email, fax, or mail. All information needed to complete the application should be included. An Authorization to Test letter, including instructions for registering with Prometric, will be sent to the candidate within two weeks of submitting an application.

The registration fee is $120 (US dollars) for AAMT individual members, or $200 for nonmembers.

When scheduling for the RMT, payment is made to Prometric.
